There are two values regarding the performance of a vacuum cleaner. The more common is the maximum output of the engine, which is usually between 1200-2200 W. The other one – with less awareness – is a bit more important: suction power varies between 200-700W and depends on the state of the filters and other parts of the appliance. Generally speaking a bag less vacuum cleaner with a maximum output of 1600-1800W is enough for household purposes. Keep in mind that the suction power of a highly polluted device is significantly weaker as opposed to a clean one.
